Cabins & Sleeping
On board the Harmony 42 Bartholome there are three cabins: two aft cabins that share a heads/bathroom, plus a larger en-suite cabin in the bow. The starboard aft cabin is, however, reserved for the instructor. Every cabin has hatches and fans for ventilation, with full bedding for each part of the season. In addition, the saloon converts into a double bed at a £50 discount, with no single supplement.
Shared Spaces
The interior of this Harmony 42 training yacht is light and airy, so there is plenty of room in the large seating area, as well as a fully equipped galley/kitchen and a navigation area. You can charge devices from 12v sockets in the saloon, while 220v plugs work when she is on shore power. Meanwhile, soft bags fit under the seating area.
On Deck
Exterior
Bartholome’s cockpit is at the back of the yacht, with seating and a removable single steering wheel. A large bimini gives sun protection, while a sprayhood keeps off foul weather. Under sail, she uses a fully battened mainsail with a lazy bag, as well as a large roller genoa.
Safety
Because safety matters in every sailing activity, the Harmony 42 Bartholome is fully compliant with both Greek and UK coding. On board, there are inflatable lifejackets for all crew members, as well as a liferaft, multiple radios, jackstays, gas and smoke detectors and other specialist safety equipment.
